Jewel and Paul | Maternity session in the Redwoods

Jewel and Paul are welcoming their first baby, and I had the honor of photographing their maternity session, which included their gorgeous dog Bonnie. We chose to do the session at Stout Grove in the beautiful Jedediah Redwoods State Park along the Northern California Coast, a place that holds special meaning and memories to  both Jewel and Paul. This session was so much fun and I really enjoyed getting to know them both as we walked through the forest in-between shots, trying to keep warm, and looking for beautiful light and perfect spots for these photographs. Jewel is a fellow photographer based here in Ashland, Southern Oregon. Its always a bit nerve racking photographing another photographer, but these two were so amazing and it was such a pleasure to capture this special time in their lives.
